Mushroom's Type in Keto

Did you know that among the common mushroom found in the market, Shiitake mushroom is not so keto-friendly?


1️⃣Portobello Mushroom (per 100g)

Net carbs = 2.6g


2️⃣White Button Mushroom (per 100g)

Net carbs = 3.1g



3️⃣Cremini Mushroom (per 100g)

Net carbs = 3.7g



4️⃣Oyster Mushroom (per 100g)

Net carbs = 3.8g



5️⃣Enoki Mushroom (per 100g)

Net carbs = 5.1g



6️⃣Shiitake Mushroom (per 100g)

Net carbs = 12.3g



Shiitake mushroom has too much of carbs to fit in keto macros.


Hence, it is recommended to avoid Shiitake while eat Cremini, Oyster and Enoki mushroom in moderation.


Portobello and white button mushroom are those types which fit your net carbs well during keto provided you consume not more than 150g serving a day.
