Hard-Boiled or Soft-Boiled Eggs?

Sopping up runny yellow egg yolks with toast is a beloved breakfast ritual.

Yet raw eggs can contain Salmonella Enteritidis - bacteria that can cause mild to severe gastrointestinal illness.

However, a runny yolk contains up to 50 percent more nutrients than a boiled or cooked yolk.

Cooked for 5 to 6 minutes. This is the recommended method to cook an egg for the lowest calories with the most nutrients. It's quick and easy, too, and involves minimal dish-washing.

As a food handler trainer, I would like to recommend some tips below to ensure your "Egg's Safety":-

✔️Keep your eggs in refrigerator if you are not using it for the next 3 days

✔️Wash your egg shell thoroughly before cracking them

✔️Wash the egg shell gently to avoid causing any crack on the shell

✔️Only wash the shell prior to use because any crack on the shell may allow bacteria to enter during storage

✔️Bring out your egg from refrigerator to thaw for 15 minutes, this is to allow the egg to get to room temperature and the cold spot at the centre easily reach the desire temperature after 6 mins of boiling
