Egg, your daily staple of whole food...

The favourite must go break-the-fast fresh produced food

Egg

The egg is almost the perfect food for health and weight loss. It is easily digestible as well as a complete food.

  • Eggs give the liver the building blocks it needs to regenerate. Cholesterol levels are not increased by eating them and you can lose weight by including them in your diet. The only time to avoid eggs is if you have an allergy to them.

  • Eggs contain ingredients to develop a healthy body, including nearly all of the essential nutrients, such as B1, B6, folic acid and B12. They contain the key minerals calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc and iron. Choline and biotin, which are important for energy and stress reduction, are also found in eggs, and they are complete in all amino acids.

Which came first? The egg or the chicken?

Nah... We’re not going to answer that.

No matter what’s your logic just try to buy chicken eggs that are pasture-raised!

A local market survey has been carried out and we realised that not much Malaysian are aware of pasture raised egg. There are also many misleading term used on labelling where they confused consumers. In addition, pasture raised products available on commercial retails are mostly overpriced because they are air-flown.

Feeling to give up?

Hold on! We got something good to share...

We are lucky to find out that there’s a local pasture raised 🐓farm. You can now get pasture raised eggs locally from @the.pondok and their price are reasonable.

Pasture raised hens produce healthier and more nutritious eggs! We recommend eggs to break your fast, but make sure you consume the yolk and all, that’s the natural goodness!

Difference between pasture-raised and free-range?

🐔Free-range is a term regulated by the USDA, there must be a minimum of two square feet of outdoor space per bird.*

🐔Pasture-raised is not regulated by the USDA. But in order for pasture-raised eggs to also be labeled certified, it means that the ladies were given ample space to roam outdoors of 108 square feet.*

The Myth of Eggs

Many people are afraid of eating egg yolks because of cholesterol.

The fact is that most of the cholesterol in our blood is here not because of what we’ve eaten. Actually, our livers make approximately 75% of the cholesterol that exists in our blood.

How the mechanism works❔

➡️The more cholesterol we eat, the less the body will make. The less cholesterol we eat, the more the body will make.

If cholesterol were so bad for us, why would our bodies make so much?

The body is an incredible system that knows exactly what to do to create synergy. When we consume foods containing cholesterol, we only absorb 2-4 mg of cholesterol per kg of body weight per day. So, even if we were to eat a dozen eggs each day, we would only absorb 300mg, which is, by the way, the recommended maximum daily amount.

Don’t be afraid of having the yolks from now on!

The fat in the egg yolk are in close to perfect balance. These essential fats are crucial in the regulation of cholesterol. That is because the antidote to cholesterol is lecithin, which helps dissolve cholesterol, and egg yolks are loaded with lecithin. These yolk fats in your diet lower the risk of heart disease.

Eggs have almost zero carbohydrates and have the highest rating for complete proteins of any food. Amino acids are necessary for repairing tissue as well as for making hormones and brain chemicals.
